WHAT OVERSIZED ACTUALLY MEANS
Oversized is a set of measurements, not an adjective. Here are ours, and why we publish them.
Most brands describe a fit and let you find out on delivery. That works until you have bought two garments described identically that fit nothing alike, at which point the word has stopped carrying information.
THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER
Chest measured flat across the garment, one inch below the armhole. Length from the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Shoulder point to point across the back. Sleeve from the shoulder seam to the cuff edge. Four numbers, published for every size, on every product.
- 01Our L tee measures 62cm chest, 74cm length, 58cm shoulder
- 02A standard L tee sits around 55cm chest, 72cm length, 47cm shoulder
- 03The difference is 7cm of chest and 11cm of shoulder — that is the silhouette
- 04Body length only grows 2cm, because a longer tee is a different garment, not an oversized one
SIZE DOWN, OR DON'T
Take your usual size for the silhouette the piece was drawn for. Size down one for a cleaner fit that still reads relaxed. Sizing down two gives you a normal t-shirt, which you can buy anywhere.
Oversized is a silhouette decision. It is not a substitute for design.
