DROP 002
PUBLIC RECORD
Everything a city writes down and nobody keeps.
About PUBLIC RECORD
A drop assembled entirely from paper that was designed to be thrown away. Parking tickets, dispatch notes, weighbridge slips, counterfoils, a form with a box for a name that was never filled in.
The graphic language here is bureaucratic rather than expressive: monospaced serials, alignment boxes, rubber-stamp density, the specific grey of a carbon copy. We printed it at the weight of a document, not a poster.
Nine pieces of source material are reproduced in the archive below, scanned at 1200 dpi from originals collected over four months.
